Rita
Office Manager/Insurance Specialist (Mandan)
Rita has been at Eyecare Professionals keeping our staff and doctors organized and the office running smoothly for over 34 years. She diligently files all insurance claims and is knowledgeable with insurance plans offered to patients. You may also find her friendly face out front working many days. On her off time, she enjoys gardening, crafts and spending time with family.
Mary
Registered Nurse
Mary Helmers is a Registered Nurse. She is a native of Solen, ND and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Mary. Mary began her career with Custer District Health Unit, followed by ten years in Pediatric and Adult Oncology as an Oncology Certified Nurse, 5 years with the Department of Human Services as administrator of the State Review Team, and 5 years as a Certified Nurse Case Manager for ND Workforce Safety and Insurance before joining the team at Dry Eye Consultants, a Division of Eyecare Professionals.
Jolene
Optical Sales/Ordering
Jolene has been with Eyecare Professionals for over 34 years. She is responsible for optical sales and ordering. Her friendly attitude may greet you at the reception desk or in our eye wear area. She enjoys assisting patients with all eyewear questions, and helping pick out the perfect eyewear to fit everyone's style. Jolene enjoys her free time spending time with her family.
Nichole
Office Assistant
Nichole joined the Mandan Eyecare team in April of 2019. She wants to hear about your dry eyes as she helps pre-test patients in the dry eye clinic, as well as communicating concerns to the doctors and educating patients on continuing dry eye care. When she's not running the Cornea 550 machine, she's snowmobiling with her husband, at the library, or watching football with her husband and their cat.
Amy
Amy took a change in careers in December of 2021 when she joined the Eyecare staff. Instead of ordering car parts, she now orders and fixes glasses as well as style patients into the best fitting frame or ordering contacts! Along with working in the optical area, you will also find her checking in patients and helping pre-test patients here and there. When away from the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 dogs.
Jayre
Jayre joined Eyecare Professionals in the summer of 2011. You can find her throughout the office whether it's at the front desk scheduling appointments, pretesting patients, or helping patients find the perfect frame to fit their style and personality. Jayre enjoys working in all areas of the clinic and helping each patient with their visual needs and concerns. When Jayre is not in the office, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, children, and grandsons.

Chelsea
Patient Services
Chelsea joined the Eyecare Professional team in June of 2012. She can be found greeting patients with her friendly smile at the front desk or booking appointments via phone. Chelsea also assists with thoroughly testing patients prior to seeing the optometrist and enjoys taking time to carefully pick out frames that fit each patient's needs and style in the optical shoppe. In her spare time, she enjoys chasing her boys around to sports and staying on the go!

Desi joined the Hazen staff in 2002. She files insurance, works at the reception area scheduling appointments as were as in the optical department to assist with the ordering of glasses. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
