Our Equipment

MPOD

MPOD

The QuantifEye MPS instrument is the most reliable and accurate device for measuring Macular Pigment Optical Density (MPOD). MPOD measurement allows Eyecare Professionals to assess a key risk factor for age-related macular degeneration, low macular pigment.

iLux

iLux® treats Meibomian Gland Dysfunction by the application of light-based heat and compression under direct visualization. The iLux allows your Eyecare Professional to view the eyelid margin through the magnifier, then warm the eyelid tissue within a therapeutic target range to melt the oils blocking the openings, and then apply compression to the eyelid to express the melted oils through the openings.

LidPro

LidPro is a handheld device that allows your Eyecare Professional to perform an in-office “deep cleansing” of the eyelashes and lid margins. LidPro is indicated for the removal of lid debris and microbial biofilm seen in individuals diagnosed with blepharitis. The device incorporates a disposable, rotating silicone disc specially designed to clean the lid margins.

Eyelight IPL

Eye-Light® is an intense pulse light (IPL) and low level light therapy (LLLT) used in dry eye management. The equipment uses polychromatic light and thermal pulses that have been identified to help treat Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). IPL has been used for several years in dermatology practices as a treatment for rosacea and acne. More recently however, it has been identified to help treat MGD and dry eye disease by stimulating the contraction of the meibomian glands, increasing the oil flow, and reducing the evaporation of tears.

CIRRUS

Cirrus OCT

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test. OCT uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina. With OCT, your Eyecare Professional can see each of the retina’s distinctive layers to map and measure their thickness. These measurements help with diagnosis of disease, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic eye disease. The measurements also provide management and treatment guidance for glaucoma.

Visual Field

Visual Fields

The visual field test is a subjective measurement of your central and peripheral vision, or “side vision,” and is used by your Eyecare Professional to diagnose, determine the severity of, and monitor your glaucoma.

Clarus

Zeiss Clarus 500 Ultra-Widefield Retinal Camera

Zeiss Clarus® 500 is an ultra-widefield retinal camera that provides high resolution, true color imaging of the retina. The Clarus 500 is capable of imaging 133° of the retina in a single image, whereas a standard fundus camera is capable of acquiring images up to 50°. The increased retinal area really helps document peripheral disease without putting you through multiple image attempts and bright flashes of light.

Cornea 550

Dry eye is likely the #1 most under-diagnosed disease in an optometry practice. The Cornea 550 is the turnkey solution for dry eye analysis, diagnosis, and management. It provides a non-invasive measurement of the tear film break-up time, imaging and evaluation of the meibomian glands, an assessment of ocular redness and irritation, plus much more!
